i found the building and grounds beautiful. the staff were lovely and the hotel is run very efficiently. staff went out of their way to please me.. it was peaceful. i have enjoyed some very enjoyable walks and seen deer and sheep.

i found that housekeeping sometimes lacked the tlc required for a real top line resort.

The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. i particularly enjoyed exploring the gardens. the hotel offered a variety of daytime activities, including archery and rifle shooting. janine was excellent and made the activities fun, i also found the bed to be very comfortable. I slept great each night.

The lifts were confusing for many guests. you have to press -1, -2, or -3 to go up. this caused delays and frustration. Clearer signage would help.

The staff were polite and very helpful of 3 nights (I appreciated their assistance with directions). Food choices were abundant for both breakfast and dinner.

I found that my room, a standard double room adult only hotel, was too far from the main areas. It meant a long walk. This was especially difficult due to some chest problems I have, leaving me quite breathless after the trek. A health advisory about the distances should be in place.

lovely parkland, attentive staff

the grounds were beautiful and well maintained, with lots of space for exploring. the staff are helpful and nice. archery was supervised well, and i tried boule for the first time. the building had nice paintings and character, and the rooms were decorated recently.

i found the overall hygiene and service in the dining room less than satisfactory. coffee often arrived lukewarm and toast rarely came. i saw a server cough into her hand then pick up a knife for a guest.

the hotel is in a beautiful parkland with a georgian mansion. the grounds are extensive and well kept. there are local villages nearby. the hotel is in the middle of the countryside.

my visit had some downsides the absence of air conditioning in the room was noticeable and impacted my comfort it was quite stuffy especially during the day also the service at times seemed disorganized many staff members lacked sufficient knowledge about the hotel amenities i found this frustrating when seeking basic information
